VPS (Victorian Public Service) Hack Day
http://www.vic.gov.au/vps-hack-day
Hack Day: an event where developers, designers and people with ideas
gather to build 'cool stuff' (source: Wikipedia)
Come one, come all! Form a team and turn up on the day for an intense hack
session, working flat out from 9am to 6pm to devise and build applications
and mashups using Victorian Government data.
Some really cool stuff came out of the Federal Government’s Hack Day held
last year. You can check out the fruits of that day’s labour at
http://mashupaustralia.org/
VPS Hack Day is open to all VPS employees. You will need:
at least one laptop with wireless capability per team
some good ideas
a multi-skilled team (web developers, programmers, data experts,
designers, content writers, ideas people)

Note: You can have non-VPS team members (but we can't have any teams with
no VPS staff in them)
And - there will be prizes!
