Adding to Bruce's comments, Australia and New Zealand have made
significant contributions toward the last OGC testbed through a
consortium between LISAsoft, Landgate, Landcare Research NZ, and CSIRO.
And I expect bigger things to come out of next year's testbed, with the
CRCSI now having a major focus on Spatial Data Infrastructures, which
includes involvement with the OGC.
Achieved:
* CSIRO and LISAsoft have been doing lots of work with the Aeronautical
application profile (and extension to GML), providing test suites to
test WFSs which serve up the profile, providing recommendations on how
to restructure the data structure, providing automated tools for
UML->schema and schematron for testing
* Landgate, LISAsoft and CSIRO, with additional sponsorship from
Landcare Research have been extending an open source client to Web
Processing Services
* LISAsoft has been defining the upcoming standard for OWS Context,
writing the schema for it.
I'll be sending a more detailed press release out next week.
