Dear list,

I had a call with Jan De Waele (NGI) about our commitment to Begeo 2017
next year.

I situated OSGeo and suggested we could fill a whole track where we
could use our session to explain what OSGeo, OGC, OSM etc is.
There is room for 2,5 hours of content in presentations of 20 minutes.
What they want from an organisational perspective is to bring into every
track a part of the industry, academic and governmental commitments.
I told that with OSGeo we could take care about all these topics (+
explain a bit what OSGeo is and what open (data, standards, software) is.

Who is willing to contribute with a presentation on 16 march 2017.7
The place to be is Tours & Taxi.

The OSGeo logo will be put on the website, so I already send the logo to
Jan.

*Concrete:*
Call for papers for OSGeo track on BeGeo.
The event had 1400 visitors last year, and there will be several
parallel tracks.
The goal of the presentations should be explain to end users some
interesting OSGeo projects, OSGeo Live, Osgeo, some success stories, etc...

Who volunteers to coordinate the day?
Please send in the topics you want to present before *Friday January 6th).
