[Benchmarking] GDAL libraries conflict

Hi,
I've noticed the GDAL libraries installed in /usr/local/lib have
been registered in ldconfig so that they are loaded first.

Unfortunately GeoServer uses an older version of the GDAL libraries
and the associated ECW support, when loading them up a mixup
occurs where the old GDAL is loaded, but the new ECW plugin is
used, and that results in random crashes of GeoServer during
the tests.
I've tried to force GDAL to use the proper ECW library by manually
setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH and GDAL_DRIVER_PATH to no avail.

Is it possible to make mapserver use the GDAL in /usr/local/lib
without forcing the entire system to use it as well?
