[Benchmarking] Stopping the _desktop GUI_ on the Linux server :-)

Hi,
after stopping all of the servers (including GeoServer) on
the Linux machine the status of the memory is:

free -m
              total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
Mem:          7976       3958       4018          0        422       3156
-/+ buffers/cache:        378       7598
Swap:        16002        157      15844

I was wondering where the residual 378MB were going to and
it appears there is a GNOME desktop running.

No big deal for the moment, 7.6GB are more than enough to
make some test runs, but probably better to shut it down
for the real testing :-)
