[Benchmarking] Benchmarking a WMS Server on Windows 7 Using the OSGEO Benchmarking Tests

I have been looking for tools to use to test WMS requests from two different raster WMS servers, each serving out the same set of 1.4 Tb of imagery. I wanted tools that would be easy to install and run from Windows 7 workstations and that could test the response times from different locations. I found the tests that OSGEO had done at different FOSS4G conferences and I wondered if these could meet my needs.

Can these resources be easily adapted to meet my needs and can I easily set up the correct environment to run them? I see some Python scripts that I can follow but I don't know how to go about making JMX files for our servers.

I have read through the Wiki and the documents on http://svn.osgeo.org/osgeo/foss4g/benchmarking/wms/2010/scripts/ and am unsure of exactly how to proceed so I'm hoping that someone out there might be able to help me do this.

Thanks,
	Bob
