Hello everyone,

I see that the FOSS4G-Nottingham call for presentations ends at the end
of this week (http://2013.foss4g.org/programme/call-for-papers/), and I
am wondering if there is any interest from teams to participate in an
exercise this year.

I saw a message on this list recently from the deegree PSC saying they
are interested, and in the recent OSGeo code sprint the MapServer PSC
discussed this and there is a general interest for MapServer to participate.

Are there any other software teams interested?

Note that everything/anything is possible and open, such as:

- who wants to champion this year's exercise? (submit the abstract, make
sure teams are given what they need, manage the exercise)
- what should this year's exercise benchmark? (WMS, or some other spec,
or performance vs cartographic output, etc.)

I hope this email generates interest.  Myself I am definitely interested
in participating with the other MapServer team members this year.  I
won't be able to manage the whole exercise but I am sure some other
community member can do so.
