I've been using it for years but more just internally for secretary tasks.  You and Markus have accounts already, perhaps you can already login:

I've had some challenges getting it to connect LDAP, so that was a bit of a barrier before.   Any of you can go and try to login with your LDAP account, then I give you access rights.  If LDAP login doesn't work, then just register a new account.

Note when I say the system can be used for "membership management" I'm not specifically thinking of a paying level of membership, though it could handle that as well.
