Due to an odd bit of legal hackery in our bylaws, official votes must be done in person or by email or by phone -- IRC doesn't count (or something like that).  [it's been on our list of Things to Fix for a long time now]

So, we are in the habit of just doing a quick email check after each meeting to formally affirm everyone's positions.
