Mark,

This message went out to OSGeo-Discuss already. I forwarded it from 
OSGeo-Discuss to the board list.

I think we'll need to send a formal response from the board to the 
Beijing LOC, and then make a formal announcement from the board to the 
community outlining the way forward (location of AGM, Sol Katz, etc.).

I put these on the agenda of this week's board meeting. Hopefully by 
then we'll have had enough discussions on this list to be able to make a 
final decision quickly.
