It was FOSS4G-Hokkaido (https://sites.google.com/site/foss4ghokkaido/) 
which was
held in June 2012. FOSS4G events in Japan are spreading to other cities. 
Annual
FOSS4G meeting and OSGeo-JP AGM is schedules to be held as per regular 
schedule
in first week of November 2012. FOSS4G-India will be held between 25-27 
Oct 2012
and the first circular is to be released very soon
