Folks,

I'll just note that the rule change was made by the board after
some discussion.   It could be reverted to the original again
but there was some rationale for the change producing a more
diverse and representative board the details of which I don't
really recall.

Perhaps a web poll would be a good idea of getting feedback
from the membership on this point.

There are of course a wide variety of voting mecanisms that
we could employ.  Personally, I can't see much value in
changing the voting mechanism, but I wouldn't mind as
long as we don't put something in place that is complicated.
