FYI & sorry to bother you again.

To manage the increasing number of Charter Members we intend to set up
a moderated mailing list. It will be used exclusively for contact
information management of the Charter Members. This will make it much
easier to notify Charter Members of upcoming elections and run the
elections themselves. It will be a moderated list so that we can
prevent mails with private information from becoming public. It will
automatically be part of the OSGeo backup (whereas up to now it is
only "archived" in a few mailboxes and maybe some spreadsheets).

We can then simply ask Charter Members to hit reply to confirm that
their contact information is still valid. Some may even want to
maintain their own mail information (and relieve CRO and secretary
from the really gruesome job of snooping up dead accounts...).
