[Board] LocationTech meeting October 2013 - short report

Hello Board!

I attended LocationTech's working group meeting today:

The agenda items were grouped in two main topics: the LT East Coast
Tour (US, Canada):

and the new projects and proposals:
http://locationtech.org/list-of-projects

The discussion showed me a point of view on geospatial technologies
that is quite close to OSGeo's vision. 
As the new liaison, I plan to keep the Board and wider community
updated on LocationTech activities, and encourage collaboration on our
common goals.
