That is a good point and a good question.

It is clear that FOSS4G is still our main income (and this is unlikely to change soon), so we need to take this into account.

Also, something I’ve learned from Paul also applies here. If we can make the cake bigger (higher attendance), even if we only take a smaller percentage of the cake, our income would still be the same or even higher.

Personally I’d take a conservative approach and only bring the global FOSS4G to regions outside of Europe and North-America if our cash position allows for this. So ideally the revenue stream from NA and Europe would make it possible for us to do outreach in other areas.

Up for discussion of course, as always.
