[Board] request for letter of support for Jan Hartmann (UvA)

Jeff, I contacted you as President of OSGeo in such a way that you bring this thing to the attention of the Board. I did the same with George Percivall and there were no problems at all. You didn't understand, even when I tried to explain it, and you are continuing not understanding. Anyway, it doesn't matter. Probably the language divide exists.  Now I know that the procedure is to send directly to the Board and not to the President. And that' s that for that.


But my question now is another one: what are the rules of the Board for deciding about supporting a project or not?
Maxi shares his thoughts, Gerald also, but I'm asking the Board position about this question.
