[Board] Thoughts on Board face-to-face at FOSS4G-Europe

Hi Gérald,

You have made a really great point, that we shouldn't sacrifice our time
with fellow project members in the sprint.

It is hard to find a moment in any FOSS4G event. The day after the code
sprint will, we must realize, be a travel day, where most of us will
begin our trek home. Then through the week, many board members have
workshops to prepare, talks each day, so I believe meeting in the
morning will be difficult as well.

How about meeting for 2 hours at the end of the last day of talks, on
Friday 17 July (the day before the sprint). I imagine the program will
end around 4pm, and we can find a room for the Board meeting. Our
dinner might be delayed a little, but I believe this time could work for
everyone.

Thoughts?

I am not sure this is what we want but by planning the board meeting at the same time as the Code Sprint make the board not available during the Code Sprint. At least half the Code Sprint, I’m not confortable with this. So I would appreciate if we can plan the face to face board meeting the day after or before the FOSS4G-E. I think it is preferable to not have any overlap with the conference.

So in fact I was going to propose a half day only, with even a hard end time. So a 4 hour meeting block only, with a very specific agenda outlined and worked on before together, on the wiki.
