Thanks for the update Suchith, we will discuss the OSGeo Budget at next
week's Board meeting, and I will mention moving 1.5k towards the travel
grants for FOSS4G (great idea).

I leave the selection of the students to the LOC to decide through thier process already in place.

>> Many thanks to you and Southampton University colleagues for your kind help in developing and hosting the GeoforAll website for us. This website is been very much key for building momentum for all our activities and developments. As you know, i have been working and discussing ideas with the community, our Advisory Board to get ideas on how we can ensure that the work you and colleagues are doing is at least partly supported from our end so that it is sustainable for the long term.
>>
>> Please refer the following discussions to brush up ideas (apologies for my delay in action on this, but it did help us to get clear picture and more ideas for the website development)

>>
>> http://lists.osgeo.org/pipermail/ica-osgeo-labs/2015-February/001011.html [digital display boards discussions]
>>
>>
>> Also, thanks to all of colleagues globally, we have now expanded rapidly and hence we decided to establish 5 regional chairs for helping direct our future expansion plans and website developments are critical to this.
>>
>> As we now have regional chairs and 5 regional based networks being created, i would suggest that you factor in one day of staff time for each region website development / update help needs (5 days in total) and also staff time to help with the digital display board setting up.
>>
>> Also for info, the GeoforAll Advisory Board (btw we have now included all our regional chairs also into the AB) are discussing strategies/ideas for our long term education plans, criteria for our labs etc. The AB wants to have an easy system for annual reporting for the labs with is both easy for the Regional chairs and also for the lab contacts.
>>
>> We want inputs from the whole community for this and we would like to have a simple form for this in the website which gets posted as a blog entry in the main website under Yearly reports as per the Criteria for maintaining active status as ICA-OSGeo-ISPRS Lab at http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Geoforall_criteria
>> Once we have a system for this , we can refine it over the years based on the experience gained.
>>
>> So there is a long wish list of all these things we need to do for the website but our maximum budget for website developments is 3500 USD so maybe we have to be realistic and focus on the main requirements (i.e support for our regional chairs (5 days in total) and development of annual reporting form)
>>
>> If you can send the lab list with an estimate for the website developments it will be helpful and i will follow up this request with OSGeo Board in their next meeting itself. Many thanks for your help on this important work from the very start.
