This discussion of awards is a slightly separate goal of the board - to do
a better job of celebrating members of our community. We had a few more
ideas beyond additional awards, but the key point - as a volunteer
organization - is to show productive examples of volunteering as an
encouragement to others. Frankly the Sol Katz award is counter productive
in this - as all the recipients are so darn impressive it produces a
feeling of "I do not have time for that" :)
