[Board] awards discussion

I am reminded, with today's sol katz nominations, that we talked about
setting up more awards to better acknowledge our community members
(internal community building as it were, focusing on recognizing those that
are hitting our goals as an organization).

GetCat has sponsored a "innovative developer" award. I still think there is
opportunity here to look at some of our other goals like "open standards".

I think we could also use an "outreach" or "advocacy" award for those
promoting our ideas to new audiences.

Finally a "leadership award" or even better a "new leadership" award for
those inspiring individuals he motivate us all to do better.

I understand that several aspects mentioned above go into the Sol Katz
award, however I view the Sol Katz award as one for service. Looking at the
impressive list prior recipients it comes across as a life time achievement
award - and not the best tool for community building.

Please take a moment to review and think about the above, and perhaps
review our goals.
