Well said Jody.

I think it is worth noting that your "acknowledgement is invaluable"
comment is spot on in-line with Paul Ramsey's observation (from his keynote
at FOSS4G Boston 2017 <http://s3.cleverelephant.ca/2017-foss4g-keynote.pdf>)
that there is an "attention economy" that is an important component of the
overall open source ecosystem. Acknowledgement and attention are indeed
interrelated.
