[Board] volunteer work certificate

This is great idea to acknowledge the students volunteer contributions. I will forward this to GeoForAll AB and we will discuss ideas for making this possible. If any Charter members can provide background information and confirmation of the students work for OSGeo, we can then provide them  letters of recommendation. We can also do this for OSGeo SoC students.

That is great! As a GeoTools PSC member occasionally write letters of recommendation commending grad students on their participation, or offer to be contacted as a job reference as we can speak to their technical skills.

Would a member of the GeoForAll advisor board be in position to write such a letter?

In Mexico its compulsory that students, as part of the requisites to graduate, make volunteer work but they need a letter/certificate for the files.

Martha Carmen Vergara Trejo was the one that organized the OSGeo presentation on the ENAH. on [1] you can find the first contact she made asking for the participation.

She organized the location, whatever was needed, she even traveled every weekend to help me do the presentation images. You can see the presentation in [2]

I estimate that in the course of 3 months, 40 hours were dedicated on this endeavor.
