[Board] GRASS GIS budget 2019

Board,

On behalf of the GRASS GIS project, I would like to request a budget
of 9,000 USD for 2019. We have outlined the details of the budget at

Most importantly, we want to redesign the Web site from scratch as the
current CMSMS is without responsive design and hard to maintain. After
initial attempts with Wordpress (thanks, Regina!) we consider a static
website design with a git-flavored management. Then finally more
contributors could help to maintain it in the years to come. Find

Beyond that we plan to give travel grants for community sprints as we
did in the past (a dedicated sprint is planned in late spring or early
summer - northern hemisphere) besides promotional materials such as
stickers, flyers and t-shirts.

We also plan to carry out a fundraising campaign in 2019 to better
fund the project and especially the website redesign. This is in
discussion in the GRASS PSC.

We quite hope that the OSGeo board is willing support our plans!
