Dear All

I have excluded Michael from Curran in this reply.

This looks to me like a predatory publisher and we should be very
careful of this. They publish proceedings and then sell each paper for
quite large numbers. This is a very frown upon approach and might not
be good for FOSS4G to be associated with such a publisher. We can
discuss this more at the board meeting, but I thought I would just add
this.

The latest FOSS4G academic papers have been published through the
ISPRS, thanks to Maria Brovelli, and this is good exposure. I think
this is a better approach. She is busy arranging this for the 2021
conference as well.

Regards
Victoria

We have a handful of large, national library of science customers (i.e The British Library, The German National Library of Science and Technology, The National Diet Library of Japan, among others) that request printed proceedings. In circumstances where there is no print available, we try to obtain permission to create a print-on-demand book. You would retain 100% copyright ownership, and we would cover the entire cost of production/distribution. Does this sound like something that you could agree to?
