Hi Tamara
Thanks for reaching out to OSGeo - the Digital Twins event looks
interesting, and likely to draw a lot on open source geospatial
tooling.
We want to know a little more about how the Digital Twins event will
promote engagement in the OSGeo community. The question we ask is "how
will adding OSGeo's visible support to this event increase the number
of people actively engaged in the communities we support?" - meaning
builders, maintainers, document writers, contributors - as well as
software users and deployers. See our goals and mission statement
here: https://www.osgeo.org/about/.
About event promotion: we normally avoid relaying content on behalf of
others, for example if promotional content comes from you then we
prefer that it is clearly identified as being authored and sent by
you.
There are a number of channels in the OSGeo network already available
that let you do that - for example, you or anyone can subscribe to the
OSGeo discussion mailing list
(https://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/discuss) and post news to
the community. Or you can link a blog to planet.osgeo.org
(instructions here: https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/PlanetOSGeo).
Part of how OSGeo works as an open and inclusive community is that you
can already use those channels, whether we make an agreement to put a
logo on your event or not!
Looking forward to your response,
Adam

We would like to raise your organization’s profile by including your brand as part of the event. In exchange, we’d like your support promoting the event with social media and messaging to your audience; the material is provided by us.
