[Board] Request for funding the GeoStyler Code Sprint 2025

Dear OSGeo board members,

we hereby request for a funding of 3675 € for the GeoStyler Code Sprint 
2025.

*Basic Information*

Since 2022 the GeoStyler community holds an annual GeoStyler Code Sprint.

Audience: 15-20 people
Region: Everyone from everywhere may participate, since this will be a 
hybrid event (online and on-site)
Projects: GeoStyler
Length: 4-5 days
Venue: Probably Switzerland (final decision pending). We provided lunch, 
a small breakfast and some snacks for the participants in the last 
years, and plan to do so again for 2025. Overnight lodging will not be 
provided but we hope for OSGeo to partially fund the travel expenses.

*Expected budget*

Expected costs per person: 735 €, consisting of

- travel: 200 €
- accommodation: 500 € (125 € per night, 4 nights)
- food: 35 € (10 € breakfast, 20 € lunch)

General costs: 1000 €, consisting of

- social event: 500 €
- snacks and beverages: 500 €
- location: 0 € (location will be sponsored by the host)

Overall costs: approx. 12025 € (assuming 15 participants).

We ask OSGeo for funding a third of the participants' travel expenses, 
which adds up to 3675 € (assuming 15 participants).

The registration will be free of charge. We will also ask the 
German-speaking local OSGeo chapter FOSSGIS for funding a third of the 
participants' travel expenses. Additionally, we will ask the 
participants' companies for covering the rest of their participants' 
travel and accommodation expenses, respectively. The social event will 
be covered by the OpenCollective budget of the GeoStyler project. We 
will ask the participants' companies for covering the costs for snacks 
and beverages.

*Profit / Loss / Risk*

We do not expect any profit from the Code Sprint, but want to make sure 
that all costs are covered.

We do not expect financial risks, since the venue will be provided to us 
free of charge.
