[Board] Questions regarding preparations for FOSS4G 2026

Dear Conference Committee,

On behalf of FOSS4G 2026 LOC, I would like to ask a few questions
regarding preparations for the conference

1. Website setup
We are planning to hold a domestic FOSS4G conference on October 11-12
and would like to launch the FOSS4G 2026 website prior to this
meeting.
We think that we will first need to arrange web hosting on our side
and then, once ready, request OSGeo to configure the DNS record for
2026.foss4g.org accordingly. At this stage, we would like to confirm
the process in advance. Could you please advise us on:
 ･ Whether launching the website in October would be suitable timing
 ･ The specific steps we should follow when requesting the domain setup

2. Sponsorship
We intend to seek sponsorship not only from domestic but also
international organization. We would greatly appreciate OSGeo support
with
 ･ Sharing contact information for organizations that have sponsored
for previous global FOSS4G events
 ･ Informing us of any support or resources OSGeo can provide for our
sponsorship outreach efforts and providing guidance on good practices
for international sponsorship
