Could anyone please explain me the correct procedure? As I uderstand - for now there is a sort of confusion of who is responsible for solving this very simple task (4 months of reminders), which is very important for us and our local PR.

We currently have a digicert windows signing certificate that we maintain for OSGeo projects. In the past few years, there has been no requests for windows signing certs. Is this still a need? Do we need to maintain the existing? Can app bundle signing be done with letsencrypt? We have 90 days until the current cert expires. If you know a project that uses windows signing, please loop them into this discussion.

I believe we still use that cert to sign GeoServer installers.

Hi Krishna,

Many thanks for your email and also for your efforts in organizing FOSS4G
Asia 2026. We discussed your request in our last board meeting and came up
with the following suggestions.

1. Please follow the OSGeo Financial guidelines document for this request-
https://github.com/OSGeo/osgeo/blob/master/board/documents/osgeo_financial_guidance.pdf.
As per request, OSGeo can grant 2000$ for travel grant and 500$ for the
code-sprint.
2. The marketing requirements shall be raised with the Marketing committee
<https://www.osgeo.org/about/committees/marketing-committee/>.
