[Board] Activity Report 2024 of UN Committee

Dear UN Committee participants,
I wanted to share with you the activities that were carried out by the
different participants of the UN Committee:

UN Open GIS: participation in the monthly meetings with the community
for the integration of Open Source within the UN community, assistance with
different presentations and participation in the FOSS4G to support UN

UN OSPO 2024: participate in OSPO in UN Headquarter, It was possible to
share different experiences from the community and other foundations, as
well as the opportunity to make the foundation visible. - NYC

14th Session of UNGGIM: participation as guests at the 14th Session to
be held at the UN headquarter where we shared different external events and
part of the sessions. As a result, the following reports were produced.

UNGGIM - América - Site Event of the 11 sessions: participation in the
11th session America UNGGIM on host of INEGI (in english National Institute
of Statistics and Geography of México) - CDMX (7 october) Link:

UNGGIM - Geospatial Societies Group: OsGeo was representative in the
UNGGIM thematic group of Geospatial Societies, where we participated in the
meeting to disseminate different activities and promote the participation
of OsGeo projects for the member countries and to participate as experts in
the open source and geospatial thematic.

UNGGIM - Forum High Level: Participation in 7 FHL "Accelerating
Implementation: Achieving Resilience" in CDMX (8,9,10 october)

Digital Public Goods: continued working to evaluate the integration of
this alliance to extend the inclusion in the work plans of the member

Meeting UNICEF, UN OSGeo: We participated in the meeting between
different organizations to analyze how to increase integration with
institutions and adopt the use of open source through examples of
implementing open source solutions. This meeting was held within the
framework of FOSS4G 2024 in Belém.

Marketing Committee OsGeo: Continued working on strengthening the
section of the Service Providers network with the aim of making the
implementation of open source software robust worldwide with the idea of
implementing it in a stable way in the institutions. Link:

Donation IDE America: It was a manteniment IDE Américas UNGGIM Node by
one of OSGeo's service providers (KAN Territory & IT). Link:

Most of the activities were sponsored by Kan Territory & IT, which
contributed to the travel and other expenses.
