We signed a letter to support them and now they are asking us to be founding members. I would say we should focus our budget inside, not outside.</div><div><br></div><div>On the other hand, we can make it part of OSGeo as a requirement to be members and include the membership as part of the budget for those projects (in incubation, at first).
