I propose we have our meeting on Monday (without the charter
members acceptance task) and make a plan for a breakout meeting
for the elections then.<br>

<pre class="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">Hi Jorge,
For the board election to start, the current board has to vote and confirm
that those members are accepted. So I would say we need some more days to
start the board elections.
We have a meeting this Monday, but we can have another meeting at a later
date. I don't know about you, but in Spain the 1st of November is holidays
and I personally am not going to be available the full weekend until
Tuesday 5th. If the rest of the board members are available and want to do
the meeting before that, I can check the names on 31st and send an email if
any problem arise.

<pre class="moz-quote-pre" wrap="">Dear OSGeo board,
The nomination period for charter members ended on 2019-10-20. We had 39
nominations. Since we have some last minute nominations, we waited four
more days to receive all the confirmations and to let all new members
create their OSGeo accounts.
Even though, right now we still have 10 people (out of 39) missing
confirmation and/or OSGeo profile. We just send a reminder to
charter-member mailing list, with the current status. We will wait one
more day. We will not accept nominations without a positive confirmation
by the nominee and without a OSGeo profile.
We would like to ask the Board to shift in the election calendar, so
that we allow proper time for community review and voting. The new
calendar would be the following:
Charter member elections:
* Community review and voting: 2019-10-25 to 2019-10-31
* Final status: 2019-11-01
Board elections:
* Nomination period: 2019-11-01 to 2019-11-14 (2 weeks)
* Campaign period: 2019-11-15 to 2019-11-21 (1 week)
* Vote for new Board members: 2019-11-22 to 2019-11-28 (1 week)
If the board agrees, we will update the wiki and then announce the
updated calendar.
Best regards,
Jorge Gustavo Rocha and Anne Ghisla
