I think the ideas for meeting the OSGeo chapter requirements are fine and 
should be put up on the wiki. But we need to build the community before the 
chapter becomes officially endorsed.

As long as the San Francisco Bay Area group holds its get-togethers on the 
weekends, it's a good bet I could make it out for them.
