I can probably find a font that is close. I have no problem using this
type of logo if that is what the group wants. It would probably take me
about 5 minutes to put together. What do you guys think?

At least for this round of letterhead, in the future we can take a look
at the Aus-NZ and Japan logos, but note that the reuse of the OSGeo logo
in more creative works in still under contention(you might want to use
the new logo too).
