[California] Planning for Exhibits, help needed

I'll chime in with some information about my school. UC San Diego has  
a small GIS lab in the main library and a member of the staff is  
assigned to coordinate GIS activities on campus.  See:

If there is an event in the area, I would be happy to try to get UCSD  
involved.  I haven't been too much involved in the GIS / OSGeo  
community after I finished Summer of Code and FOSS4G 2007, but I am  
interested in helping out with any local events.
