Maria,
SAC is the System Administration Committee of OSGeo, we set up all the
mailing list, keep the serves running, add new domains and link to the
appropriate servers, ets. In general just the good spirits under the
hood of anythign techie in OSGeo, and we are very, very few only
unortunately.

So anybody who is savvy with Debian, Postfix, setting up and
maintaining(!) virtual machines, backing-up curcial infrastructure and
the like, please feel invited to come visit us on
irc://freenode.net/#telascience or subscribe to the list.
