Maxi's proposal makes sense. Why do you want to add extra work to do? In my opinion every organizer will build up their website and it is enough to have a link from OSGeo pages.

And then, more important,  FOSS4G Eu is not directly organized by only OSGeo. OSGeo is one actor, for sure important but not the unique. Please leave thing a bit more flexible. If we try to standardize too much probably we'll be killed by standards.

I'm not sure to get your proposal...

Do you mean: force every FOSS4G-EU meeting to have the official event portal stored on the OSgeo infrastructure and in wordpress?

If it is, i disagree.
I think that every conference website is up to the organizer, as well as the technology to be used (I personally prefer would not like to use wordpress for example).
