The language of the longer explanation looks fine to me. It’s way better than Google Translate, so I think someone has done some editing. We’d want to review the first paragraph to make sure if matches how we envision running our specific travel grant program. This text mentions travel grant recipients needing to volunteer. If that’s the case, we’d want to change this call to say that it supports our volunteer scholarship program.
