Value proposition:
Who are we? Do we have a profile of last years attendance?
Govt/Hobbyist/Dev/Industry?
Worlds best GeoFOSS developers in one spot.
Looking for key staff? This is a good place to be building
relationships.
Join the conversations that shape the GIS world.
Do you rely on open source components in your stack? You need be part
of the discussion about where those components are going.
Like to build/maintain a reputation for being on the cutting edge of
development?
Open source is where the buzz is. Do you want to be a part of that?
How do your clients see you in relation to other sponsors? Left out or
up there with them?
Best GeoFOSS devs in the world. Staff? Introduce to new tech? Cement
relationships? Promote new product?

Google Earth
PC hardware: (laptops/Desktops/servers) Dell, HP, IBM, typically FOSS
friendly (or becoming so Dell?)
Nokia- Seriously into FOSS and location.
Who sponsors where 2.0?
Who sponsors GITA?
We should try and grab them, esp in light of falling GITA attendances.
We need to collect positive references in the media and blog world about
the growing importance of FOSS4G. It's handy material to place in front
of a prospective sponsor.

Thinking of the defining characteristics of the attendees, they're all
travellers (apart from the relatively small number of locals). Who's
interested in travellers? Airlines? Who else?
