[OSGeo-Conf] 2011 Discussion

Hi all,

we neither have a vote in this. In our opinion change is needed. We are in favour for
option A.
Frank is right about the regional events. These local events will happen what so ever.
I guess Local in this means local in the true essence of the word so without involvement
of OSGEO. For instance in the Netherlands there is hardly a Local Chapter but still there
have been some good local events during the last years.

Although the timing would be very late for the next bidperiod, if any, but maybe have a BOF
session in Sydney about this?

Greetings,
Thijs van Menen en Bart vd Eijnden

While I don't actually have a vote, I will come out in support of option
B, with an "expression of interest" phase for both regional and
international events.
