With the recent email threat approving regional foss4g events, I think
that we start to build upon Arnulf's comments about protecting the
FOSS4G brand, and think about guidelines for what constitutes a FOSS4G
conference.

I'm guessing that it should involve presentations about Open Source
GeoSpatial applications, probably some case studies which make use of
these applications, probably some OGC standards type presentations too.
Workshops could be included.

But, ...
Could a one day event, put on by one vendor, with only one stream and
attracting only 30 people be branded FOSS4G?
What about if the event is shared with another purpose, such as a local
Open Source conference, or a largely proprietary conference. Could that
be classed FOSS4G? Or would it be ok to brand a stream in another
conference as the FOSS4G stream?
Could a one day workshop be called a FOSS4G event?
What about a few workshops?
If there are any/many proprietary products being presented, is that ok
for a foss4g event?
