Hello, Claude and Jeroen,

Can you please be more specific about why this is a bad time period? Is it because everyone in Europe is taking vacation and won’t want to come to the conference instead?

FYI, in the US most businesses will not be shut down, and people have a lot flexibility as to when they take vacation (I hear we also don’t get as many days off ;-). As we indicated before, in the later week we run in to more colleges and universities
that are beginning their fall programs. The following week is even worse.

period.
Dear All,

Congratulations to Boston and many thanks to the other teams for their work.

I'm sorry to come back on the date discussion, but I really think the
is an issue with the dates: mid-August week (14-20 August 2017) is too
early and will probably strongly reduce the number of attendees, at
least from Europe.

I think the earliest date to avoid this problem, would be Workshop
21-22 August 2017, Conference 23-25 August 2017. Or the same pattern
one week later would also be good.

As we are almost 2 years in advance, is the a chance you can adapt the dates.

Kin regards,
