You mean groups like local ESRI chapters, ASPRS chapters, GIS professionals, etc?

I'd encourage the local chapters to find such non-OSGeo local groups and offer to crash^H^H^H^H^Hattend one of their meetings and do a presentation on what OSGeo has to offer.
