However, I caution that we should not use this email list to call for 
votes. We have close to 1000 people on this list, and if we have 100 
people respond to a proposal every week or two, we will make this list 
unusable as a communication medium.

If voting is required, I suggest setting up a wiki or using one of the 
drupal voting options that we have on the osgeo site or similar.

Training on Open Source GIS - Quantum GIS

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am please to inform you that TERI University, New Delhi in collaboration
with kCube, Chennai is planning to organize Training Program on Open Source
GIS - Quantum GIS. In light of utility of geospatial tools in all fields of
sustainable management of resources, GIS has become one of the indispensable
tools for studies, research and policy framework. The cost of the available
software and skilled manpower are among the major hurdles to use such tool.
The Open Source GIS software is one of the convenient ways to overcome such
issues.

TERI University with kCube plans to organize 5 day and 2 Day interactive
Training Program on Quantum GIS. This will provide a structure route to
spatial and non-spatial database generation, management, analysis and
decision making. The training will be organized in two stages for different
user group:

For GIS Professionals - 5 Day Training Program ( April 12th - 16th 2010
(Monday - Friday))
