[OSGeo-Discuss] Request for a new project: GIS for Enterprise Linux

Many thanks to you all for your support and quick actions!!

I will document the existing effort on the wiki page
(http://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/Enterprise_Linux_GIS) and then announce it
at various places (like the CentOS and Scientific Linux mailing
lists).

Meanwhile those interested can already register on the mailing-list
where Enterprise Linux related discussions will now take place:
http://lists.osgeo.org/mailman/listinfo/el

Interoperability with other distributions is a major goal and we will
of course collaborate closely with OpenSUSE efforts!
