Well, while we're mentioning specific companies... OA Digital (http://oadigital.net) provides assistance and support on a wide range of OSGeo solution components. Even support for solutions still encumbered with legacy stuff.
Actually a Google search in your native language or with your country of residence appended for "<open source geospatial product of interest> support" should get you a whole bunch of people who can help. And help to the level that only, for example, Oracle can help with Oracle stuff i.e. there is more support out there for open source solutions than there are for closed ones.
