Thanks for the hint to the native support of Spatialite.
So this is an alternative, which connects FDO to Spatialite (besides
the OGR provider)
That actually emphasizes that the "original SQLite 3 Support in FDO"
isn't broadly used (even if it could be better).
And both are still missing in http://fdo.osgeo.org/OSProviderOverviews.html .
