Hi all,

It's my pleasure to nominate Miguel Ángel Blanco for the OSGeo Charter
Member elections. Miguel Ángel is lieutenant-colonel of the Argentine
army, in charge of the GNU Linuxmil project[1] and member of the
Argentine Free Software association (SOLAR)[2]. He has been supporting
free software for many years, presenting the migration efforts at
Argentine army in many international conferences. Over the years he's
being coordinating the GIS of the American Armies Conference (CEA)[3]
using OSGeo Live and many other FOSS projects. Similarly, he's
conducting a GIS based on FOSS4G projects like Ushahidi for the
Department of Military Emergency Coordination[4]. Finally he was part
of the team of FOSS4G Buenos Aires 2013 and this year State of The
Map, also in Buenos Aires.
