Dear Colleagues,


The  proceedings of  Spatial data infrastructures, standards, open source and open data for geospatial (SDI-Open 2015) [1] jointly organised by the ICA Commission on Geoinformation Infrastructures and Standards, the Commission on Open Source Geospatial Technologies, IBGE, the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) and the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) at  Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil are now available at http://sdistandards.icaci.org/

We thank all contributors and  presenters and esp. our Brazilian hosts at IBGE for their help and support which made this possible. Special thanks to Prof. Serena Coetzee (University of Pretoria) who was the driving force behind this and Prof. Silvana Comboim (UFPR, Brazil) for making this possible.

We also thank the University of Pretoria  and the International Cartographic Association (ICA) for help with the publication of the proceedings ISBN 978-1-77592-117-2
