Thanks Jeff. We have been doing this for news releases . I think we need to get few volunteers to actively update GeoForAll news in twitter etc. I got volunteer for this and i am trying to get few more and then they can keep the updates going. For example any updates at http://opensourcegeospatial.icaci.org need to be shared with wider community.

The OSGeo news team (https://wiki.osgeo.org/wiki/News_Queue) actually
automates the Twitter messages: if you need something posted to Twitter,
osgeo.org etc simply follow the steps at
http://www.osgeo.org/content/news/submit_news.html which is essentially
to send your news item to the news_item@ email account.
