[OSGeo-Discuss] Happy first birthday for GeoforAll lab in Fiji and Inviting collaborations for expanding GeoforAll in the Pacific Islands region

On behalf of GeoForAll community, I want to send my congratulations to all colleagues in University of Fiji, who  one year back (on the 6th July 2017) , initiated  the First Open Source Geospatial Laboratory in the Pacific Islands region and established it  at the  School of Science and Technology (SST) in the University of Fiji.  The lab is  maintained by the University’s Environmental Research Group (ERG) , supported by the Information Technology Services (ITS) team in collaboration with members of SST and connected members of the Pacific Chapter of OSGeo (PacOSGeo).



Wishing GeoForAll Fiji colleagues the very best for expanding their activities across he Pacific Islands region in the next year! I request all who are interested in building collaborations  in the Pacific Islands region to contact them. Details at  https://www.unifiji.ac.fj/geoforalllab/

PS: The field work photos of GeoForAll Fiji is great. Fantastic beaches and coral reefs . I am hoping to take my wife and son to visit amazing Fiji  for holidays sometime in the future :-)
